This year’s Met Gala centered around the theme of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” showcasing the museum’s spring 2024 exhibition. The exhibition aimed to push the boundaries of imagination and invite visitors to delve into the multi-sensory aspects of clothing. With approximately 250 items on display, including pieces over 400 years old, the theme of ‘Sleeping Beauties’ was fitting.
Vogue revealed that the dress code for the event would be “The Garden of Time”, drawing inspiration from J.G. Ballard’s short story from 1962 with a focus on the concept of ‘fleeting beauty.’
